Pat house!

Yesterday, I visited Pat's house!
First, we went to buy a lot of bagels at the specialty bagel store in Vermont.
Next, we visited Pat's house. The house had a lot of  nice furniture.
Furetheremore, there was a dog, her name is Addie.
Till now, I like dogs, but I can't touch dog, because I don't know how I shoud contact with dog.
However, Addie was so cute, fluffy and little, so I could play with Addie. I fell in love!

Bagel party was really fun, because of nice music, relaxing space, and delicious bagels.
I had never ate a lot of kind bagels, so it was fresh for me.
All bagels were delicious, but I think, sesame and garlic was the most delicious.

In this way, I had a good time!

Unlimited possibility

Studying abroad was the most powerful experiens of my life.

When I was in Vermont at St. Michael's college, I spent a lot of time with. American students and students from a lot of different countries.
When I went to Internarional Coffee Hour the first time, I had to speak English and to ask questions to get along with people. After that, my English skill improved.

When I met friends, I spoke to them actively, I tried to memorize their name, and I listened carefully to what they said.
I realized that I wanted to study foreign language and culture! I felt happy and so excited. I became a more positive person than when I was in Japan.
To speak English a lot and to go to an American college is a first time experience for me. This is a rare experience, so I would not like to waste my time. Also, I want to make internarional friends.
I thought, "Where there's a will, there's a way!".

Last Sunday:(

In the morning, I went to the Snake Mountain snowshoe trip!
I met two people there, Kathleen and Jenny.
I was a little nervous, so I didn't talk to them, but when we arrived at Snake Mountain, I talked them.
It was raining heavily, but talking was very fun, so I enjoyed myself!
We talked about grade, age, Japanese food, hobby...etc. Kathleen is a very active person!
Snowshoeing finished soon because of  the heavy rain. We were soaked!
After we came back to Days Inn, I took a rest.

I went to Alliot with Kumiko for dinner, and we found Abdullah!, so we ate dinner together.
A few minutes later, he found some friends, so I ate dinner with a lot of people :)!
We had to speak English, so it was very nice practice for us!
It was very fun!!

Parade

It was the Mardi Gras Parade day!
I went downtown at 11:30 am. I enjoyed window-shopping until lunch.
After lunch, we walked around downtown, then a masked man in a building threw a lot of necklaces from the second floor.
I caught two necklaces, and I got a Statue of Liberty crown from another man.
When the parade started, there were a lot of people.
I had never seen this scene in Burlington, so I was surprised!
People were very excited and noisy. People in many cars threw a lot of  necklaces, snacks, and other things.
I caught them, and I felt happy!

After the parade, I rode in a special bus for SMC students, and they were singing a song!
It was very noisy, so I felt culture shock, but it became a good experience for me!

Vietnam restaurant

I went to Vietnam restaurant with Pat, Motoki, Kumiko, Hiroyuki by downtown bus.
There were a lot of choices on the menu.
I couldn't understand it, so I ordered Pat's recommended item.
Pho is rice noodle soup. It tastes salty.
I liked it!

Next, I would like to eat Italian food or Thai food!
So I want to go downtown next week!

After school

After Coffee hour, I went to watch a Hockey game!
It was the first time for me, so I was excited.
The players were so cool! I Love sports men!
The hockey game was sometimes intense, so I felt a little fear, but  I enjoyed it very much!

Furtheremore, I went to Emily's dormitory.
It looks like a party room-so cute!
Many of Emily's friends were there. Everyone was very kind.
We talked about food, cell phones, characters, etc..
I cannot speak English fluently, but I used my dictionary, so we could speak!

I had a good time!
Thank you to my friends!

Class Observation

Today, I went to Language in its social context class.
I met Lauren there, so I became happy!
But when the class start, changed my mind, because student spoke so fast. It's difficult for me.So I almost couldn't understand.
They're sometime laughing for joking, but I could'nt understand, so I'm feel tired.
But to have went to the class was good experience for me.
Students have own opinion, they answering question as soon as possible, and they were enjoyed their class I think.
It was different to Japanese class, so I decided I'll try to participate class positively!

First Impressions in Vermont

I arrived in Vermont on Feburuary 14th.
Our plane landed in Burlington at 7:00 pm.
My first impression was that everything different from Japan : Restroom, people's act, airport, atmosphere... everything was interesting for me.
The cafeteria was too big! And there are a lot of sweets! I couldn't belive people eat sweets in the morning.
The high school visit was very fun! Most students looks more adult than Japanese students.
At international coffee hour, I could talk to many people!
By the way, I love the country, so The Taste of  Vermont was very very fun for me!

Visit

I went to Boston with SMC students.
I visited to Harvard university, museum of fine arts, Goverment station.
It was very very fun for me.
There was very beautiful town.
I want to vist again sometime!
